Hero MotoCorp is preparing the launch of a new 125 cc scooter in India. The homegrown brand and world's largest motorcycle manufacturer (in terms of volume) already has 2 models in the 125 cc segment on sale in India - The Maestro Edge and the Destini 125 - and Hero is looking to add to this line up with a new offering. This upcoming scooter was spotted on test, and upon launch, it will rival the TVS NTorq 125 and the Suzuki Avenis 125

The spotted test mule was wearing camouflage, but certain details about the scooter were apparent. The 125 cc scooter sports an aggressive design, and is similar to the other sporty 125 cc scooters in our market. The Apron mounted LED headlamp reminds of the TVS NTorq 125 and the recently launched Avenis 125, and so does the tail end design. The floorboard appears to be small, and it is clear that Hero has designed this scooter with sportiness and youth appeal in their mind. The test mule also sported a digital instrument cluster, and 5 spoke alloy wheels.

The upcoming 125 cc scooter from Hero will likely go on sale alongside the existing 125 cc scooters from Hero. Hero MotoCorp will look to undercut the pricing of the TVS NTorq 125, as it aims to make a footing in the popular segment.
