Chevrolet Beat achieved a new export milestone in September. GM India exported 7,661 units of the hatchback to markets in Central and South America, including 7,254 units to Mexico. The sixth most exported passenger vehicle from India during financial year 2015-16, 70,072 units of the Chevrolet Beat have been exported so far. GM India currently exports the left hand drive Beat to Mexico, Chile, Peru, Central American and Caribbean Countries (CAC), Uruguay and Argentina among others.

The Beat, known as the Spark outside India, is sold in over 70 markets across the globe and has sold more than 1 million units. Among other international manufacturing locations, the Chevy Beat is produced at the company's facility at Talegaon, Maharashtra.

In 2015, GM India exported 21,000 Chevrolet vehicles to 40 countries, including Chile and Mexico. The company adds this year its exports from India will grow significantly with an additional 50,000 units, thus emphasizing the importance of the market and its strong local supplier base.
