Everyone wants to fast these days and car manufacturers always want to show each other down by going that extra mile. Some of you may feel that all this thirst for speed is a bunch of hokum but frankly for automotive enthusiasts and speed freaks like us; we can't seem to get more of it.

Just a few days back we heard about the Hennessey Venom GT going crazy at 435 km/h, beating the Bugatti Veyron's speed record (well sort of). But now there is a new kid on the block and it's called the Koenigsegg One:1.

It is christened so because power output of 1340hp (1322bhp) matches its kerb weight of 1340kg. Details of the car are yet to be known but Koenigsegg will reveal the car at the 2014 Geneva Motorshow.

This Veyron rival will generate tremendous amount of downforce thanks to the massive rear wing and Koenigsegg promises more than 2G of lateral grip when cornering.

The car bears a strong resemblance to the Agera and is pitted to go faster than the Veyron Super Sport which develops 1200bhp mostly because Koenigsegg may not fit it with an electronic speed limiter.

We will wait for Koenigsegg to spill out the details and won't make any speculations whatsoever. We will make the car do the talking.
