Fuso Trucks From Chennai Enters Bangladesh

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) along with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation launched the FUSO range of trucks in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now the company's 6th Asian market since it first initiated export operations in May, 2013.

    Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) along with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation launched the FUSO range of trucks in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now the company's 6th Asian market since it first initiated export operations in May, 2013.

    These trucks are already being sold in key markets like Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, and will soon be found making their way to other African and Asian markets. Coming back to its arrival in Bangladesh, the trucks will be sold there via their exclusive dealer, Rangs Motors Limited.

    The FUSO truck range is manufactured at DICV's plant in Oragadam outside Chennai, and comprises of 5 models spanning medium/heavy duty (25-49 tonnes) and medium duty (9-16 tonnes) trucks. The company reported strong sales in 35 African markets as sales figures of the trucks almost doubled in the first quarter of 2014 to 2000 units, as compared to same period in 2013.
