Fuel Prices Hiked For Fifth Straight Day, Petrol Crosses Rs. 115/Litre Mark In Mumbai

Domestic fuel prices have been hiked for the fifth consecutive day across India. As per details listed on Indian Oil Corp's official website, petrol became costlier by up to 36 paise a litre, while diesel soared by up to 38 paise a litre. In the national capital Delhi, petrol and diesel prices are being retailed at new all-time highs after a hike of 35 paise each. Petrol has breached the Rs. 109-mark, currently retailing at Rs. 109.34 a litre while diesel has touched Rs. 98.07 a litre.

In Mumbai, petrol surpassed Rs. 115-mark after a hike of 34 paise, currently priced at Rs. 115.15 a litre. Diesel, on the other hand, is being retailed at Rs. 106.23 a litre. Customers in Chennai will have to shell out Rs. 106.04 a litre and Rs. 102.25 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively. Petrol and diesel prices in Kolkata jumped to Rs. 109.79 a litre and Rs. 101.19 a litre, respectively. In Bengaluru, petrol is currently priced at Rs. 113.15 a litre while diesel costs Rs. 104.09 a litre. Fuel rates have been priced at Rs. 113.72 a litre and Rs. 106.98 a litre in Hyderabad.
Petrol and diesel prices in Maharashtra's Thane have reached a new high of Rs. 115.29 a litre and Rs. 106.37 a litre. Customers in the Navi Mumbai region will have to pay Rs. 115.22 a litre for petrol and 106.30 a litre for diesel. Fuel prices in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra have reached Rs. 118.09 per litre and Rs. 107.42 per litre, respectively.

Fuel rates remain the most expensive in the Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, where petrol is priced at Rs. 121.62 a litre for petrol and Rs. 112.52 a litre for diesel. In Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district, petrol has touched Rs. 120.89 a litre while diesel costs Rs. 110.11 a litre. In Bhopal, petrol and diesel soared to Rs. 118.07 a litre and Rs. 107.50 a litre, respectively.
