Highlights

In a bid to show strengthened commitment to its customers, Ford India has launched a Service Price Promise which can calculate the cost of service by using a Service Price Calculator on the Ford India website. This feature allows customers to calculate the Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) cost without even having to leave their homes.

Using the Service Price Calculator tool, customers can then walk in for a regular service with a printout of the quotation given by the web-tool, thereby ensuring transparency in their Ford service experience at any dealership. The calculated quote has a month-long validity and is subject to change in taxes, etc. Ford Service Price Promise will be available for any Ford customer as it will offer periodic maintenance costs for all models belonging to the American manufacturer's Indian line-up which include the Ford Figo, Ford Figo Aspire and the popular EcoSport sub-4 metre, sub-compact SUV.

Ford will contact its customers to inform them of this initiative by using a combination of information boards at the dealerships, service reminder eDMs, dealership websites, and via the Ford Mobile App. Besides Ford Service Price Promise, other features offered by the American brand to ensure heightened customer convenience, accessibility, and affordability includes factors like sub assembly levels for repairs, localisation and competitive parts pricing to reduce cost of vehicle manufacture, Ford's Happy Pockets Service, and Ford Vehicle Personalisation Centre.

By breaking up an auto port into sub-components, Ford's sub assembly for repairs is claimed to result in a substantial drop in overall cost of ownership. The newly launched Figo Aspire has close to 850 such parts available under sub assembly. Ford's Happy Pockets Service initiative allows the company's customers to avail of Ford's service starting at Rs 2,199. The Ford Vehicle Personalisation Centre allows each individual customer to make their purchase look 'distinctly theirs'. Currently available on the Ford EcoSport, the option to modify individual vehicles is a segment first and is primarily restricted to high-end luxury cars.
