Ford Figo Sedan's Production Version Teased
Highlights
We brought you information about the new-generation Ford Figo's production ready version yesterday, and today it is the Figo Sedan's turn. Ford Brazil teased the pictures of the production ready version of the car, which looks quite similar to the concept that was showcased in India earlier this year. The Figo hatchback is called the Ka in Brazil, while the compact sedan is christened Ka+.
The Figo Sedan for Brazil will measure over 4 metres in length, while the Indian version will be a sub-4 metres in order to avail excise duty benefits. Those who did not know, the Government of India grants excise duty benefits to sub-4 metre cars with petrol or diesel engines with a capacity of up to 1.2-litres and 1.5-litres, respectively. Except for the length, both, the Brazilian and India-bound versions appear similar.
The production version looks almost unchanged compared to the Ford Figo Concept, save for some practical changes to the headlamps. While the overall design of the headlamps is the same, it gets light clusters instead of the concept's futuristic headlamp detailing.
The picture given above shows that the dashboard design of the car has taken its inspiration from the Fiesta; the centre console also looks similar to the one found in the Fiesta. The Ka+ will share its engine with the Ka hatchback in Brazil, while in India, it is expected to share engines with the Figo hatchback. However, the top-end variant might feature the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, which also powers the EcoSport.
