Ford Endeavour Gets Discounts For The Festive Season

The Ford Endeavour launched early this year has been quite a successful offering for the American automobile manufacturer. Having taken the fight to the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and the Chevrolet Trailblazer, most buyers have opted for the larger 3.2-litre engine variant in the fully loaded Titanium spec.

Highlights

  • Ford India has started offering heavy discounts on the Endeavour SUV
  • Rs. 1.72 lakh Discount offered on the 4x2 AT with the 2.2-litre engine
  • Discount offered on the Trend Variants only
The Ford Endeavour launched early this year has been quite a successful offering for the American automobile manufacturer. Having taken the fight to the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and the Chevrolet Trailblazer, most buyers have opted for the larger 3.2-litre engine variant in the fully loaded Titanium spec. With a large chunk of sales skewed towards the Titanium variant, the cheaper Trend variants in both the 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre have now been given large discounts to boost sales.

Strangely, with the new prices, the entry level rear-wheel-drive Endeavour with the 2.2-litre engine and the manual gearbox is no longer the cheapest variant at Rs 25.50 lakh. The same engine and gearbox with the extremely capable four-wheel-drive system is now the cheapest variant priced at Rs 23.78 lakh. The same price also applies to the 2.2-litre variant with rear-wheel-drive and an automatic gearbox.

Engine Drivetrain Variant Old Price Discount New Price
2.2-litre 4x2 MT Trend 25,00,800 NIL 25,00,800
2.2-litre 4x2 AT Trend 25,50,800 1,72,800 23,78,000
2.2-litre 4x4 MT Trend 26,60,800 2,82,800 23,78,000
3.2-litre 4x4 AT Trend 27,65,000 1,72,800 25,93,000
3.2-litre 4x2 AT Titanium 27,50,800 NIL 27,50,800
3.2-litre 4x4 AT Titanium 29,76,800 NIL 29,76,800

(All Prices Ex-Showroom Delhi)

There is also a considerable discount on the 3.2-litre Trend 4x4 with the automatic gearbox. The new price for this variant is Rs 25.93 lakh which makes it just Rs 93,000 more expensive than the 2.2-litre 4x2 with the manual gearbox making it our value for money pick in the Endeavour range. All in all, the festive season discounts that have been offered on the Endeavour make it an even more impressive buy than ever before especially if you are looking for a large SUV with 4x4. The Ford Endeavour is currently the market leader in its segment and will have to fend off the upcoming Toyota Fortuner that will be introduced in India sometime early next year.

We expect Ford to roll out similar discounts across its vehicles including the likes of the slow selling but extremely capable Ford Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan. Also expect discounts on the Ford Ecosport to help boost sales that have been lost out to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
