After teasing the development of an EV in the form of CFD renders, Henrik Fisker's electric car company has unveiled the Ronin, its first electric GT. This is the first car that Fisker Automotive has showcased which is not an SUV. This is going to be its third car after the Ocean which will launch later this year and the Pear which will come in a couple of years.

"The GT will feature unique doors for better ingress and egress and a luxurious, sustainable vegan interior that plots a new, advanced design direction. Fisker expects to reveal Project Ronin in August 2023, with production starting in the second half of 2024," said the company in a press statement.

One of the interesting things the company touts is the range of the EV. The Ronin is said to have the highest range of any EV. This figure is currently held by the Lucid Air Dream Edition as per the EPA in the US with over 800 km on a single charge.

"The aim is to achieve the world's longest-range for a production EV, combined with extremely high levels of performance. Project Ronin will be a showcase for our internal engineering, powertrain, and software capabilities," said Henrik Fisker.

Fisker also revealed the new battery pack on the car will be integrated with the structure of the car, something which Tesla has started to do with the new production models of the Model Y that are being produced in the Texas, Gigafactory.
