Fiat Avventura to Take on Toyota Etios Cross and VW Cross Polo

Fiat India that recently launched updated Linea, has plans to launch three more products this year. Of the three product scheduled to be launched, the Fiat Avventura will be the first to be rolled out. Expected to be launched in July or August, the Avventura is a more rugged-looking version of the Punto. The car made its debut at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
If compared with the regular Punto hatchback, the Avventura surely looks more aggressive with roof rails, rear-mounted spare wheel, side cladding with 'Avventura' inscribed on it and several other changes. There are several changes inside the cabin as well, which give it a sportier feel. The Avventura has a more premium upholstery and better features than the regular hatchback version. During its unveiling at the Delhi Auto Expo, Fiat Informed that the Avventura also has increased ride height optimised driving position, thus giving a much clearer view to its driver.
Mechanically, there are no changes made to the car, as it continues to come with the same 1.3-litre multijet diesel and 1.4-litre FIRE petrol engine options, found in the hatchback.
The closest competitor of the Avventura crossover will be the Toyota Etios Cross and the Volkswagen Cross Polo in India.
