FGR Midalu 2500 V6 Goes Into Production
Highlights
- 2500cc V6 engine makes 240bhp, 160Nm of torque
- Carbon fiber body but Midalu V6 weighs 262kg dry
- Costs close to Rs 90 lakh
Czech luxury motorcycle maker Midalu has finally begun production of the six-cylinder FGR Midalu 2500 V6 which is now available for purchase. The bike was unveiled at the INTERMOT motorcycle show this year, and now the bike has gone into production, each costing around 120,000 Euro (close to Rs 90 lakh).
For that kind of money, you get a motorcycle weighing 262 kg dry with a 2500cc V6 powerplant that makes 240bhp and 160Nm of torque. The 2.5-litre powerplant hangs under a thick trellis frame while most of the bodywork is made of carbon fibre. The bike is fitted with a fully adjustable Ohlins USD fork along with a fully adjustable central Ohlins shock at the back.
The Midalu 2500 V6 prototype was designed by Stanislav Hanus and was first presented five years ago. With the bikes going into production, it's clear that FGR has probably got a few takers. The bikes will be heavily personalised according to owner's individual tastes.
The company traces its roots to the early '70s, when it used to make 125 and 200cc motorcycles under the PERTI name. Since the '90s, the company has been building bikes (mostly racing bikes) under the FGR banner.
