The US-based start-up became technical partner and title sponsor of the Dragon Racing team in July this year, thus establishing one of the first partnership between a major racing team and a technology start-up. The team was also renamed to Faraday Future Dragon Racing.
Starting from Formula E Season 3, the two will together develop key solutions to maximize performance capabilities within the vehicles' powertrains, improve overall drivetrain performance and refine data acquisition and analytics to result in more accurate predictions of vehicle performance and efficiency. In the future, the team will assimilate more Faraday Future technologies, including software, firmware, motors, gearbox and the FF Echelon Inverter to the racing vehicles.
Among Faraday Future's endeavours towards the development of electric vehicles is also its strategic partnership with Chinese technology company LeEco. Interestingly, LeEco raised USD 1.08 billion last month for its electric car project.
