F1 Teams to pay tribute to MH370 victims
Highlights
This weekend at the F1 Malaysian Grand Prix there will be a minutes silence at the Sepang circuit for the Malaysian Airline MH370 plane tragedy. Both teams and spectators will honour the 239 people who were on board the Malaysia Airlines flight when it disappeared on March 8th en route from Kuala Lumper to Beijing, by keeping everything on hold for a minute before the engines start to rev.
All the F1 teams are expected to pay tribute with messages on their car livery and helmets, while fans will be able to say what they want through messages on a condolence wall. Race organizers have also toned downed the weekend concerts by American singer Chiristina Aguilera and Rain on the circuit in wake of this tragedy.
Razlan Razali, CEO of the Sepang circuit, said in a report, "We remind ourselves that this is a huge international event, regardless of our state of mourning. The world will be on us to see how fragile or how strong [we are]. So we have a huge responsibility to put on a good show."
While we expect an interesting race, F1 teams and officials have shared their condolences in the apt way possible.
