Yet again it was Lewis Hamilton who showed that he was the quickest of the Mercedes this weekend as he topped the timesheets of all three practice sessions at the Hungarian Grand Prix. FP3 saw Hamilton getting into the groove and upped the pace to go round the Hungaroring in 1:24.048.

He beat team-mate Nico Rosberg by 0.047s and it stayed that way till the end of the session. Vettel continued his good form in FP2 and was the third quickest for Red Bull. He steered 0.2s clear of Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas.

Hamilton complained of brake issues and was having trouble stopping the car but that didn't stop him from posting the fastest lap. Both the Ferraris were evenly matched this weekend as Alonso picked up his pace to go sixth fastest while Raikkonen was seventh. Kevin Magnussen, Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniil Kvyat rounded out the top ten.

Both Force India cars had a disappointing session, with Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez 17th and 18th respectively. They were 2 seconds slower than Hamilton. There is a chance of rain during the qualifying session as the cloud cover suggests so.

It will be a fight between the two Mercedes drivers for the top spot as Hamilton seeks revenge after Hockenheim.
