Energica Eva EsseEsse9 Debuts At CES

Italian electric bike brand Energica's third model, called the Energica Eva EsseEsse9 was revealed as a concept in 2016 and is now a full-fledged production model. The Eva Esse Esse9 follows a retro design theme, with a round headlight, ribbed café racer type seat, with a streetfighter stance. The EsseEsse9 is similar to the existing Energica Eva that it's based on, and has the same powertrain. It has a permanent magnet AC electric motor that makes around 108 bhp. The bike will have a top speed of 200 kmph.
The motor is powered by a 11.7 kWh lithium polymer battery which charges from empty to 85 per cent in 30 minutes with a fast charger or zero to 100 per cent in 3.5 hours. The EsseEsse9 comes with four riding modes - Urban, Evo, Rain and Sport. The bike gets a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT screen with an integrated GPS receiver, Bluetooth, an ambient light sensor and it even show the closest charging stations when connected to the MYEnergica app. Energica provides a three-year warranty on the bike and a 50,000 km on the battery. Energica has yet to announce pricing of the EsseEsse9, but it's expected to be priced slightly higher than the $23,400 (Around Rs. 15 lakh) Eva.

Energica started operations in 2014, with the brand's headquarters in Modena. The company already has two electric motorcycles - the Ego and Eva. The Ego makes around 145 bhp and 200 Nm, while the Eva makes around 108 bhp and 180 Nm. The Ego is a full-faired electric sportbike, while the Eva follows a streetfighter design.
