The MV Agusta Superveloce Ago has been voted the world's most well-known motorcycle trade show, the 2021 edition of the EICMA. The Superveloce Ago took a lead right from the opening of the contest, organised by Motociclismo magazine and powered by Garmin, and maintained a solid lead through the entire week during the course of the show. The Superveloce Ago collected 47.2 per cent of the votes given by 12,567 attendees. Second place went to the Aprilia Tuareg with 19 per cent votes, while the Moto Morini X-Cape took third place with 7.9 per cent votes.

The special edition motorcycle, was unveiled at the Misano racetrack in October 2021 to honour the racing successes of Giacomo Agostini. The former MV Agusta factory racer won 15 world championships across his career, as well as 311 individual grand prix victories. MV Agusta has previously also celebrated Giacomo Agostini's wins, having in the past released the MV Agusta F4 Ago and the MV Agusta F3 Ago.

The Superveloce Ago has been produced by hand in a limited edition run of 311 units, the same number of Agostini's career wins, while the first 15 are dedicated to his world championship titles. Each bike is signed by Agostini, and features a carbon fibre plaque commemorating the exact year of each of the titles. Many parts of the fairings of the special edition bikes are carbon fibre, while the Ohlins suspension is entirely adjustable. The 798 cc, three-cylinder engine maintains its same technical features, with 147 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 88 Nm of peak torque at 10,100 rpm.
