It's barely been months since Ducati launched the XDiavel S across the globe and now the Italian manufacturer has already issued a recall for the motorcycle in the countries of Canada, New Zealand and UK. The problem lies in the rear wheel hub that has been installed incorrectly, in over 925 motorcycles, which have been manufactured between November 2015 and May 2016. The four hub pins might not have properly fitted in the rim holes. The incorrectly installed hub might mean that the drive pins might fail. This might lead to a loss in transmission of power to the rear wheel and even loss of braking, which of course can be disastrous. Ducati says that it will initiate the recall in middle of July, 2016 and the necessary repairs will be carried out free of charge.

The XDiavel S will be launched in India soon. The bookings have already begun and deliveries of the motorcycle should be starting in August this year. The XDiavel S has been priced at Rs. 19.2 lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). At its heart is a massive 1,262cc engine with variable valve timing, that is capable of belting out 156bhp and 129Nm. It is a cruiser motorcycle which has some really interesting goodies such as Launch Control, various riding modes, Cornerning ABS, traction control and so on. The XDiavel S is the first ever Ducati to get a final belt drive and that too on a single-sided swingarm, so as to handle all that monstrous torque with ease.

India will soon be witnessing some exciting performance motorcycle launches in the next few months. You can read all about it here.
