Ducati, the Italian sportbike maker, that announced its entry in the Indian market in March, 2015 via its official subsidiary, today kick-started the delivery process of its bikes in the country. Though the brand had made its debut in 2009 with its official importer Precision Motor India, the operations stopped in January, 2014 when the Italian bikemaker decided to form its own national sales company with Precision becoming one of its distributors. Ducati India Pvt. Ltd. is the youngest of 12 official global subsidiaries owned by Ducati.

Just so you know, the company currently has its dealerships in Delhi NCR and Mumbai. It has announced that it will open a new dealership in Bangalore in October, 2015, among other cities including Pune and Hyderabad.

The launch event took place at the company's Gurgaon based sales and service centre - one of the largest Ducati dealerships in the world. The company revealed 2 new variants of the Scrambler - Classic and Throttle - in addition to showcasing its entire Indian range; starting from the Monster 795 to its flagship sport cruiser Diavel.

Mr Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India Pvt. Ltd., said, "Of the two new Scrambler variants introduced, the Classic is aimed at those who appreciate attention to detail and 1970s style, but who don't want to compromise on riding pleasure and functionality. The Full Throttle version, inspired by the flat track world, is destined for those who want a motorcycle perfect for every-day use and with a distinctive racing style."
