Italian cars are on the dream list of every auto enthusiast and Indian film director Rohit Shetty has just ticked off one from his list. Shetty, best known in the movies for his action packed car stunts, has bought the Maserati GranTurismo Sport. Priced at around Rs. 1.80 crore (ex-showroom), the Italian coupe is one of the most luxurious out there and also looks stunning with its long and flowing profile. Interestingly, Maseratis are a popular choice within the film business with actors like Ajay Davgn, Arjun Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sunny Leone also owning different models from the brand. Rohit Shetty, then, joins them in this elite club.
The Maserati GranTurismo Sport sits below the mighty Quattroporte in the automaker's line-up but remains fast and sharp when it comes to driving dynamics. Power on the Italian two-door comes from the 4.7-litre, naturally aspirated V8 engine tuned to develop 453 bhp at 7000 rpm and 520 Nm of peak torque at 4750 rpm. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. All the power helps the GranTurismo Sport to propel from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds, while hitting a top speed of 299 kmph.

The GT Sport also comes with Maserati Stability Program (MSP) that uses an array of sensors to constantly monitor driving status and deploys a host of safety and performance systems to maintain excellent handling and grip.
