Datsun To Reveal New Concept Car on October 29

Datsun has shared the first teaser image of an upcoming concept vehicle that will make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. The teaser image showcases the headlamp cluster along with a fog lamp and the radiator grille that has the typical shape of the modern Datsun models.

    Datsun has shared the first teaser image of an upcoming concept vehicle that will make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. The teaser image showcases the headlamp cluster along with a fog lamp and the radiator grille that has the typical shape of the modern Datsun models.

    We've seen the headlamps before on the Redi-Go concept as well, but the addition of the fog lamps adds to the mystery of as concept showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo didn't have any. The company had already said that they plan to bring out the third vehicle in its portfolio before March 2016 and so we expect a big launch at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

    The new concept car could be a production ready version and could be based on the CMF-A platform. While its design could be inspired by the Renault Kwid, what we are looking at here may be a compact crossover. If that is the case, it will be a totally new segment for Datsun and it might be able to capitalize on the growing interest in this segment.

    However, we do not have any details on what this car is and which segment it belongs to, but come end of this month, all will be revealed.
