The Datsun redi-GO 1.0L has gone on sale in India today we will be bringing you all the live updates from the launch here. We drove the car early this month and have shared a great deal information of the redi-GO's features and offerings even what we expect the price to be. The new Datsun redi-GO 1-litre variant's key rivals are the Renault Kwid 1.0L and the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and we have told how they compare against each other on paper, both the Kwid 1-litre and the Alto K10. Bookings are already underway for Rs. 10,000 in Datsun showrooms across India.

Visually the upcoming redi-GO 1-litre variant remains identical to the regular redi-GO hatchback with its tall boy stance, sculpted profile and bold character lines. The car comes with the same halogen headlamps and bumper-mounted LED daytime running lights. So, the only distinguishing factor is the '1.0' badge at the rear.

Under the hood, the new Datsun redi-GO 1-litre variant will use the same 999 cc, three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Renault Kwid 1-litre version. The engine makes about 67 bhp and develops a peak torque of 91 Nm.

Here are the highlights from the launch of Datsun redi-GO 1.0L:
