Datsun GO to go on sale today in India

Highlights
Nissan's low-cost brand - Datsun is all set to launch its first car 'Go' hatchback in India today. The car made its global debut last year, followed by its unveiling at the recently concluded Indian Auto Expo in February. Expected to be launched in three variants, the Go will be launched in the price bracket of Rs 3-4 lakhs.
We recently drove the Go and found the car to be good on space and comfort. Built on the Nissan Micra platform, the Go will be the most spacious car of its league. Powering the vehicle is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 68bhp, along with 110Nm of peak torque. The similar engine also powers the Micra, but it has been de-tuned for better efficiency in the case of Go. The small hatchback is expected to deliver a mileage of 20kmpl.
As mentioned above, the Go is the company's first product after the revival of the brand Datsun. The company will also launch a sub-4 metre MPV, Go+, which will compete against the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and others. The company had also showcased a new concept 'rediGo' at the Indian Auto Expo, which according to the company will be a premium small-car, when launched.
Team NDTV Auto will be at the Go's launch event, stay tuned for live updates. Cheers!
