Chennai Rains; Two-Wheeler Manufacturers Organise Free Service Camp

According to recent reports, automakers - TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Yamaha Motor India and Royal Enfield (Eicher Motors) - have organised a free service camps for 10 days to repair vehicles damaged in the floods and heavy rains. The camp will be held starting from tomorrow on 12th December 2015 going straight up to 21st December 2015.
Apparently the manufacturers were specially requested to hold this service camp by none other than the state's Chief Minister Jayalalithaa herself. Conforming this in an official release CM Jayalalithaa said, "I have requested TVS Motor Company, India Yamaha Motor, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors to provide free service and based upon that, the companies have decided to conduct camps." Further she added that the camps would be held in Chennai, Thiruvallur and Cuddalore districts from December 12th to 21st December at various locations.
According to her, two-wheelers and auto rickshaws were largely affected in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Cuddalore districts due to heavy rains that flooded several areas of Tamil Nadu. People living in these areas can go the nearest camp and get their vehicles serviced free of cost. Details about the service camps would be published on the government's website.
TVS Motors and Bajaj Auto manufacture both two-wheelers and three-wheelers, thus they will have service camps for two-wheelers as well as auto rickshaws. On the other hand Yamaha Motors and Eicher Motors will handle services for their respective vehicles, in the latter's case it is the Royal Enfield Motorcycles.
