CES 2022: Damon HyperFighter Electric Super Naked Unveiled

Canadian start-up Damon Motors has shown the brand's second electric motorcycle line called the HyperFighter, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The HyperFighter is based on the Damon HyperSport electric superbike first unveiled in 2020. The HyperFighter comes in three trims, the Colossus, Unlimited 20 and Unlimited 15. The base Unlimited 15 makes 148 bhp, compared to 197 bhp of the Colossus and the Unlimited 20. All three use the HyperSport's monocoque chassis, but the more expensive Colossus gets premium wheels, single-sided swingarm, Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes.

Each HyperFighter also comes with CoPilot, an advanced 360-degree warning system that uses radar, cameras and sensors to track moving objects, as well as electronic ergonomics that allows the rider to position the handlebars and windscreen to individual preferences. The three models can also be customised with special body kits and graphics. There's even a rear view monitor on the dash which allows the rider to keep an eye out on what's approaching from behind.

The HyperFighter Colossus will sport a 20 kWh battery offering 235 km of range and feature 197 bhp (150 kW) of power. According to Damon Motors, the Colossus will reach a top speed of 274 kmph and will hit 0 to 100 kmph in just 3 seconds. However, the price for the Colossus is an eye-watering $35,000 (approximately Rs. 26 lakhs). The Unlimited 20 and the Unlimited 15 trims are priced at $25,000 (approximately Rs. 18.60 lakh) and $19,000 (Rs. 14.15 lakh) respectively.
