CEAT Tyres has announced the launch of its new range of premium tyres for compact SUVs. Commenting on the launch of the new SecuraDrive SUV tyre range, Amit Tolani, CMO - CEAT Tyres, said, "The compact SUV segment has seen exceptional growth of over 50 per cent in the last five years and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 20 per cent in the next 3-4 years. We saw the potential and the need to cater to this segment with a specialised tyre range, that provides an optimum combination of comfort and performance. We are confident that the SecuraDrive SUV range of tyres will provide the best-in-class riding experience in the segment."
CEAT claims that the new tyres have been designed to offer superior performance on city roads and highways. The company has used what it calls an innovative 3D Groove wall technology, which, the company says, aids in achieving good steering control and cornering stability. While the fluidic sipe design on the pattern helps with aquaplaning and provides superior braking, CEAT's Cactus algorithm used for tread pitch design is claimed to make it less noisy.
The CEAT Securavdrive SUV tyres will be available in these five sizes - 205/60R16; 215/65R16; 215/55R17; 215/60R17; 235/65R17.
