1. The Ciaz offers plenty of legroom in the second row and there's a large boot as well. This makes the cabin comfortable for five. The cushioning though may feel a bit too soft for some.
2. The 2014-2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz came with powerful yet frugal engine options. This includes the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol with 91 bhp and 130 Nm of peak torque. The 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor is quite popular here and developed 89 bhp and 200 Nm. Both engines offer good fuel efficiency figures returning an impressive 20.73 kmpl on petrol and 26.21 kmpl on diesel. A well-maintained example will continue to offer similar fuel efficiency figures after so many years.
The cabin is loaded on the feature front and covers all essentials. Opt for the Z variants though to get all the features and safety tech
3. The front suspension is known to wear out faster with the bushings in the front that tend to wear out sooner than one would like. Get the suspension checked to avoid a major expense after purchase.
4. The touchscreen infotainment system is great but tends to freeze on occasion. Do check the same before you make the purchase and also check the USB ports connected to the unit.
5. The plastic quality and the switches tend to break over time. So make sure to check the buttons and plastics for cracks including the air vents as well. Get them replaced if necessary.
