Bengaluru-based Bounce has ventured into the electric mobility space with the launch of the Infinity E1 electric scooter. The Bounce Infinity E1 is priced at Rs. 68,999 with a standard lithium ion swappable battery. The company is also retailing the scooter with the battery-as-a-service option and is priced at Rs. 45,099 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). With the latter, the Infinity electric scooter can be purchased with the battery available on a rental basis. The offering comes with swappable batteries that will be available through dedicated swapping stations set-up by the company. Pre-bookings for the Bounce Infinity begin at Rs. 499 (refundable) from today onwards, while deliveries will take place from March 2022.

Customers buying the electric scooter without the battery can go for the Battery-As-A-Service option with different rental plans

The Bounce Infinity E1 is FAME II eligible and can receive subsidies from state governments. This will reduce the acquisition price on the electric scooter. However, the company says the battery as a service option will lower cost of orwnership for customers. Bounce says this pushes running costs of the scooter down substantially, by about 40 per cent when compared to conventional scooters. The Bounce Infinity E1 will also be offered with the battery, which can be removed from the scooter and charged by customers at their home or office or wherever convenient.

The Bounce Infinity E1 comes in five exciting colour options: Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Desat Silver and Comed Grey. Pre-bookings start today, with deliveries slated for March 2022 through its dealership network and its online platform, for seamless deliveries across India. It will come equipped with a comprehensive warranty of 3 years, up to 50,000 kms.

The Bounce Infinity E1 looks like a conventional offering and will appeal to a wider set of customers. It gets stylish alloy wheels, a digital instrument console, and 12-litre boot for storage. The scooter also gets projector headlights, LED lighting, while a tubular frame underpins the model. The model gets hydraulic telescopic front suspension and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Bounce says the scooter comes with a sophisticated CANBUS to include a six-axis accelerometer, overvoltage/undervoltage protection, side stand sensor, battery, motor controller, VCU, and the display all talk to each other. The model also gets a smart mobile app that can be connected to the user's phone. You can get the Drag mode, reverse mode, 12-inch wheels, anti-theft lock, tow alert and more.

Power comes from the BLDC motor that packs 83 Nm of peak torque. Bounce claims 0-40 kmph in 8 seconds and a top speed of 65 kmph. The Bounce Infinity gets Eco mode for maximise range. The electric scooter comes with a 2kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack, and offers a range of 85 km on a single charge.
