Bookings Open For Ducati Scrambler in India; Launch in May
Highlights
The Ducati Scrambler is powered by an 803cc, L-twin engine that produces a maximum power of 75PS with a peak torque of 67.7Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike gets robust 330mm and 245mm disc brakes at front and rear axles respectively, connected with two-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The bike will also have Pirelli tyres as a standard feature.
The Scrambler is based on a twin-spare steel trellis construction that saves its weight. It gets a Kayaba inverted telescopic forks at the front and offset monoshock suspension at the rear. Talking about the design, the bike features an eccentric instrument dial, a floating seat, a single-sided rear mudguard and a round headlight with an LED outline.
The Ducati Scrambler will compete against the Triumph Bonneville. The Italian bike maker recently re-entered the Indian market via own subsidiary, and is aggressively working on its sales and service operations.
