- New G 310 RR to share much of the Apache RR 310's design
- Expected to be priced in the region of Rs 3 lakh

BMW is set to launch the new G 310 RR in India on July 15, 2022. The sister model to the TVS Apache RR 310, the new G 310 RR will be the German company’s third model from the 310 series following the G 310 R and the G 310 GS Adventure Tourer. BMW Motorrad has released a string of teasers over the past few weeks, previewing its upcoming model as well as opening bookings for the motorcycle. Interestingly while prices are yet to be announced the company has said that buyers will be able to make monthly payments for the 310 RR starting from Rs 3,999 per month.

The teasers reveal much of the model’s design suggesting that the G 310 RR is expected to get minimal cosmetic changes over its Apache sibling. A recent video shared on social media showing the undisguised bike reveals that the G 310 RR only seems to get a BMW-specific colours and graphics over its TVS sibling. The bike retains the split headlamp set-up at the front along with the similar design of the fairing. At the rear the bull horn style LED elements in the tail-lamps too are a direct carryover from the Apache 310. The teasers also confirm that the G 310 RR will get a 5.0-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster.
On the engine front, the G 310 RR will get the same 313cc, single cylinder engine as the rest of the 310 family. The unit develops 33.5 bhp and 27 Nm in the G 310 siblings – about the same as it does in the TVS Apache RR 310. Expect the G 310 RR to also get BMW-specific graphics for the display along with packing in bits such as ride modes, dual channel ABS and more. It however remains to be seen if the BMW will get customisation options in line with its TVS sibling.
In terms of pricing, expect the G 310 RR to be positioned between the G 310 R and the G 310 GS which are priced at Rs 2.70 lakh and Rs 3.10 lakh respectively. Expect BMW to price its new entry-level sport bike around the Rs 3 lakh mark. The Apache RR 310 is currently priced at Rs 2.65 lakh.
