Blaupunkt has introduced the phone link feature for select 2 DIN multimedia systems. This is part of a feature upgrade and will be available on select systems

Considering that the world is moving towards 'integrated connectivity' the new feature from Blaupunkt shows how the company is staying in tune with the current times. According to the company the phone link feature is compatible with most android smart phones and can be connected to the unit using a data cable.

What this feature does is allows users to project the screen of their smartphones onto the radio display with complete control of the Android handsets. This will allow users to enjoy all functions and applications on their phone via the in-dash radio. All the 2 DIN systems mentioned above have a touchscreen and this will offer similar features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Currently the feature is not compatible with iPhones

Pankaj Jagwani, Director, Blaupunkt India said "The phone link is among one of the best features introduced by us so far for our multimedia systems. With this feature we aim to bring the next progressive step in changing the functionality and performance of car infotainment systems. The Phone Link feature will offer leading edge technology experience and will open up a realm of opportunities that were not earlier possible in a car audio system."
