We have had the good fortune to test ride some amazing motorcycles over the year, and many of them have really impressed us with their performance, capability and versatility. From the humble Bajaj Dominar to the hugely entertaining Triumph Street Triple RS and on to the latest adventure bike in India, the Honda Africa Twin, we have had our fair share of riding commuter bikes, entry-level performance bikes to big adventure bikes this year. Here's a look at the most interesting motorcycle reviews of 2017.
1. Bajaj Dominar
The year 2017 started with one of the most highly-anticipated test rides, that of the new Bajaj Dominar. We rode from Pune to Panchgani and experienced the Bajaj Dominar in city traffic, on highways and even on some twisty sections on the climb up to Panchgani in Maharashtra. The Dominar naturally impressed us with its versatility and value for money offering in a price bracket where it is difficult to ignore, and even resist.

2. TVS Apache RR 310
The year ended with one of the most talked about, and highly awaited bikes of the year - the TVS Apache RR 310. Built as a common platform for the BMW G 310 R and TVS Motor Company's own product, the RR 310 offers a full-faired entry-level sportbike that offers a whole lot - impressive performance, superb handling and excellent build quality. And we got to sample the RR 310 around the Madras Motor Race Track! So clearly, quite a nice way to end the year with one of the most highly awaited motorcycles of 2017.

3. Triumph Street Triple RS
The Triumph Street Triple RS is one of the most entertaining motorcycles we have ridden in 2017. The Street Triple RS even went on to win the NDTV Sportbike Of The Year for 2017. Needless to say, we have had a lot of fun riding it around Spain, on public roads and even on the Catalunya MotoGP circuit near Barcelona. And then we rode it again in India for a road test, and also around the Buddh International Circuit. The Triumph Street Triple RS is one bike we just can't seem to get enough of!

4. Ducati SuperSport
Ducati introduced its newest sportbike, the Ducati SuperSport in 2017. Designed as a versatile, everyday sportbike that can be used on the daily commute, for touring and even occasional racetrack duties, the Ducati SuperSport promises a whole lot, for the experienced rider, as well as beginners looking at buying their first real sportbike. And we are impressed with this Ducati's styling, design, performance and versatility.

5. Kawasaki Z900
The Kawasaki Z900 may not be loaded with gizmos and electronics, but it offers a superb package for a performance naked. Naturally, we had a blast reviewing the Kawasaki Z900, impressed with its performance and handling, but mostly, delighted with how this performance naked can make the most boring of days feel so special. Yes, it's one of our favourite bikes of 2017, and it still brings a smile every time we think of how it performs and handles.

6. Honda Africa Twin
There's something about big adventure bikes that we just can't seem to get enough of. And this year, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India absolutely delighted us by launching the new Honda Africa Twin with the dual-clutch transmission. A first ride around Udaipur, Rajasthan, through pelting rain, wet roads and a fair bit of off-road riding with some hairy moments really made us sit up and appreciate the new Honda Africa Twin for its capabilities. Yes, it's still large, still heavy, but it's possibly one of the best big ADV bikes to tackle some rough terrain when the roads end and the going gets tough.

7. Sherco-TVS RTR 450 FX
Well, this one's not a production motorcycle! So, you can't really buy one, or ride one, unless you prove yourself in the motorcycle rally circuit and are in the good books of TVS Racing. And TVS Motor Company was kind enough to give a few of us some time with the Sherco-TVS factory rally bikes. The RTR 450 FX absolutely blew us away with its capabilities and we just can't wait to get some more saddle time, if and when that materialises! Here's ending the year with one of the most fun, most entertaining bikes we have ridden in 2017 - the Sherco-TVS RTR 450.
