2. The torque and power transfer to the wheels of the vehicle are also controlled automatically. With changing gears, the power changes.
3. In many cars the shifting of the gears is limited to the immediate next gear- higher or lower. However, in uber-modern cars like BMW, the gears can freely shift to any number. Such cars have the transmission shift lever on the steering wheel for convenience.
