Two-Wheeler Sales July 2022: Hero MotoCorp Records Flat Growth In Domestic Sales

- Hero MotoCorp recorded sales growth of just 0.34 per cent in the domestic market.
- It witnessed a slump of 40.86 per cent in its exports.
- Overall, it witnessed a decline of 1.94 per cent.
Hero MotoCorp has recorded flat sales growth of just 0.34 per cent in the domestic market last month selling 4,30,684 units in July 2022 as compared to 4,29,208 units the company sold in the same month a year ago. However, the company witnessed a slump of 40.86 per cent in its exports at 14,896 units shipped in July 2022 as compared to 25,190 units shipped in the same month last year. Overall (Domestic + Exports), the company witnessed a decline of 1.94 per cent in sales selling 4,45,580 units as compared to 4,54,398 units in the same month a year ago.
Commenting on the outlook, the company said, "The normal monsoon in most parts of the country, and the consequent agricultural harvest along with the upcoming festive season is expected to keep the sentiments positive and help build the momentum further. In the first month of the second quarter, Hero MotoCorp launched the exclusive Rally Edition of its widely popular motorcycle Xpulse 200 4V and the latest edition of the iconic Super Splendor in Canvas Black Edition, which comes with the triple promise of Super - Power, Super - Mileage and Super - Comfort."
In the same month, the company recorded a marginal drop of 0.66 per cent in its motorcycle sales at 4,21,288 units as compared to 4,24,126 units sold a year ago. Its scooter sales also witnessed a decline of 19.75 per cent selling 24,292 units as compared to 30,272 units sold a year ago. That said, the company recorded an uptick of 24.13 per cent in the April 2022 - July 2022 period selling 18,35,773 units as compared to 14,78,905 units sold in the same period a year ago.
