Highlights

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Maybach S650 in India, with prices starting from Rs. 2.73 crore (ex showroom), while the Maybach S560 variant is priced at Rs. 1.94 crore (ex showroom). The S650 is a long wheelbase model and sits right at top of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class line-up. India already has the Maybach S500 and the S600. The Maybach S650 replaces the S600 in India.

The dimensions of the S650 remain the same as the S600 save an increase of 1 mm in width of the sedan. Apart from that, the S650 also gets 20-inch alloy wheels instead of the 19-inch ones doing duty on the S500. Based on the new S-Class facelift, the S650 now features a slightly updated front end with a revised bumper and larger air dams. Also, the LED headlamps are new, adding freshness to face of the sedan. The rear too gets tweaks in form of new tail lamps and a re-styled bumper. And of course, the car gets the Maybach badging on the C-Pillars and the wheels.

The Maybach S650 gets a 6-litre V12 biturbo engine that makes close to 620 bhp and a monstrous peak torque of 1,000 Nm, enough to uproot trees! The engine comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
