Auto Expo 2016: Over 1.12 Lakh Visitors at India Expo Mart on Day 2

The second public day of the Auto Expo 2016 at India Expo Mart saw a massive increase in footfall, which has been clocked at 112,400 visitors, after seeing 79,000 visitors on day 1.

    After seeing an overwhelming 79,000 visitors on the first day of public viewing, the Auto Expo 2016 continues to be a big hit among Indian consumers. The second public day, which turned out be a weekend, saw a massive increase in footfall, which has been clocked at 112,400 visitors. The India Expo Mart, where this year's Auto Expo is being held, saw families in and around Delhi come in to witness this mega event showcasing future of automobiles at Greater Noida.

    While the Expo was opened for public viewing only on February 5, we ensured that you got to see all the unveiling and launches with our live updates of Day 1 and Day 2. Earlier SIAM had announced that they were expecting to see more than 6 lakh visitors during the four days of the expo. And judging by this massive increase in footfall, we expect that too.

    According to SIAM's statement, both the organizers and exhibitors were highly satisfied with the overwhelming response. Moreover this year the organisers also ensured that the event was well organised and crowd control, security and traffic management were highly efficient, considering the large number of visitors that will visit the Auto Expo 2016. In fact, the statement also says that the organizers are especially pleased seen the amount of discipline and support they received from the visitors throughout the day.

    Additionally the second public day also saw some high profile visitors like various Secretaries, Ministers, MPs, MLAs from various states besides Delhi. Film star, Honda Two-Wheelers brand ambassador, Taapsee Pannu and Manchester United great Louis Saha, were also among the list of celebrities who visited the event. Among other attractions at the Auto Expo, there were a number of activities which included street-plays, puppet shows, and various programs at the anti-counterfeiting campaign stall. The event also saw various groups of superbikers visiting the venue.
