The teaser shows a sketch which shows off a hexagonal windshield, very different from that of the e-tron and a lower roof all of which point out to this purpose built car.

Highlights

There’s a lot to look forward to at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and all the biggies are going to come out all guns blazing. Audi too has quite the line-up for the Motor Show and this includes its flagship car, the new generation A8. Fitted with an autonomous driving system meeting level 3 requirements, the fullsize luxury sedan, Audi is bringing concepts which will be level 4 and 5 in all probability.

The first concept is something we’ve already seen at Auto Shanghai – the e-Tron Sportback concept, but there’s one more which Audi is planning to bring to the show and we’re really interested to know more about it.

The second concept that Audi is bringing to the show is a large car and Audi promises that it will feature a spectacular and groundbreaking design, inside and out. Audi hasn’t specified which of the two concepts is being showcased in the teaser sketch and we certainly hope it’s a level 5 autonomous car. A Level 5 car is capable of driving on its own in all situations, thus it doesn’t require a steering wheel or pedals.

The teaser shows a sketch which shows off a hexagonal windshield, very different from that of the e-tron and a lower roof all of which point out to this purpose built car. Audi’s singleframe grille adorned by the four-ring logo is illuminated in white and features some interesting graphics. Audi says it will combine many new features in the area of connectivity, communication and operation and we can’t wait to know more about it.
