However, coveted details were recently revealed; Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer and Design Director, Aston Martin, recently revealed to Australian publication Motoring that the AM-RB 001 will offer a top-speed of 402kmph.
Reichman also said the AM-RB 001's bespoke V12 engine will displace between 6.0- and 7.0-litres and revv to 9500rpm. Its single-clutch sequential gearbox will be developed with Xtrac, which supplies gearboxes for the British carmaker's race cars.
AM-RB 001: The Aston Martin hypercar will offer a top-speed of 402kmph
The AM-RB 001, a bespoke machine from the tyres up, will be made at Gaydon, in the purpose-built facility created for Aston Martin's original hypercar, the One-77. Its production run will be limited to 150 units and interestingly, the number of orders received for the car is four times that number. Deliveries for the Aston Martin Red Bull hypercar will begin in 2018.
One must note that a track-only variation of the hypercar is also under development. Its projected performance will be in line with that of today's LMP1 Le Mans sports prototypes.
