India's dairy giant, Amul has paid tribute to industrialist and Padma Bhushan awardee, Rahul Bajaj, who recently passed away, with its signature doodle ad. The Bajaj patriarch died at 83, after suffering from pneumonia and heart ailment, on February 12, 2022. The doodle ad shows a caricature of the veteran businessman on his company's most iconic product, the Bajaj Chetak scooter, with Amul's mascot, the Butter Girl, besides him on another scooter. The creative also mentions the company's iconic catchphrase "Mere, uska, unka, inka, hamara Bajaj..." In its post, Amul wrote, "Tribute to one of India's most dynamic and respected industrialists..."

Rahul Bajaj took over the Bajaj Group in 1965, and in a career spanning over five decades, he led the turnover of the group's flagship company, Bajaj Auto, from Rs. 7.5 crore to Rs. 12,000 crore, with the company's scooter Bajaj Chetak being the main growth driver. He resigned as the chairman of Bajaj Auto in April 2021 and was the Chairman Emeritus of the company until his passing.

Rahul Bajaj was cremated on Sunday with full state honours on February 13, 2022

Rahul Bajaj also served as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) between 1979 and 1980. He was also appointed the president of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). He was appointed as Chairman of the erstwhile operating Indian Airlines between 1986-89 and became CII President for a second term from 1999 to 2000. He also serves as a Rajya Sabha MP between 2006 and 2010.

Rahul Bajaj was cremated on Sunday with full state honours. Both industrialists and politicians mourned the loss of the Bajaj boss who acted as the chairman of the Bajaj Group for over 40 years.
