Ahead of its world debut, the automaker has released a short teaser video on its social media platform, revealing the front end of the Grand Cherokee. Based on the teaser, we can say that the front-end of the two-row Grand Cherokee looks very similar to its bigger sibling. The SUV sports a signature-style seven-slat grille, which is flanked by a pair of sleek headlamps.
Do note, the Stellantis-owned American SUV maker revealed the first images of the electrified Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid a few months ago. It will be the fourth plug-in hybrid offering from the brand after the Wrangler 4xe, Compass 4xe and Renegade 4xe.
Powertrain specifications and other details have not been revealed as of now. However, the SUV is likely to source the V6 and V8 engines from the Grand Cherokee L. The former is tuned to make 289 bhp with 352 of torque, while the latter churns out 352 bhp and 528 of peak torque. Both the engines will come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. The hybrid model could use a version of the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the Jeep Wrangler, which is a 2.0-litre turbo unit paired with two electric motors that make combined power of 375 bhp and 673Nm of torque.
