Italian motorcycle brand MV Agusta has unveiled the 2022 MV Agusta F3 RR for the international market. The overall design looks familiar, but MV Agusta has completely updated the aerodynamics package. The bike now gets new carbon fibre winglets, which are said to offer downforce of 8 kg on the front end going at 240 kmph, a redesigned front fender which is said to drastically improve airflow across the bike. Also introduced is an updated electronics package, new instrument console with connectivity, and some updates to the chassis as well.

The F3 RR has carried over the 798 cc, inline three-cylinder engine which develops 145 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 88 Nm of peak torque at over 10,000 rpm. The bike also gets an optional Racing Kit, which comes with a new, track-only Akrapovic exhaust and ECU with a racing map. The Racing Kit bumps up the bike's performance to 153 bhp. The Racing Kit also gets a single seat cover and CNC machined brake and clutch levers, and fuel filler cap.

New six-axis IMU powers lean-sensitive traction control, wheelie control and cornering ABS.

On the electronics suite, there's a new six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) created in collaboration with e-Novia from Milan, Italy, which supports lean-sensitive traction control, wheelie control and cornering ABS from Continental. The quickshifter is now in its third generation on the F3 platform, which offers faster and smoother up/down quickshifting on the 6-speed gearbox.

There are changes in the chassis as well, including improved torsional and lateral rigidity, as well as lighter wheels.

On the chassis, there are new frame plates which are said to increase torsional and lateral rigidity. Also introduced are new wheels, which are 7 per cent lighter than the previous cast units, with a 10 per cent lower moment of inertia. The new MV Agusta F3 RR has been launched in Europe at 21,900 Euros (Rs. 18.97 lakh), and also offered on sale in the US. With Kinetic MotoRoyale shutting shop, and MV Agusta not having any presence in India, it's unlikely to be introduced in India.
