The Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door is perhaps one of the most gorgeous performance sedans and we didn't really feel the need of any change on it, until now! Mercedes-AMG has given a subtle update to the 2022 GT Four-Door and we can tell you that it's for good. The 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door has seen minor revisions in its styling and is now available in a new Rubellite Red Metallic body colour complemented by a silver chrome exterior package and new 21-inch alloy wheels that will be offered on selected trims.

The updates made to its cabin though are much more significant. The interior is draped in Neva Grey Nappa leather with Ash wood trim along with a new AMG Performance steering wheel. But, all versions of the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door are now offered with a new AMG Performance steering wheel with a twin-spoke design, drive mode dials, and seamlessly integrated buttons. The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 will clock triple-digit speeds in 4.8 seconds while the GT 53 does the same in 4.4 seconds.

The 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door 43 and 53 variants get the same 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine with EQ Boost pumping out 357 bhp and 423 bhp respectively. The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 will clock triple-digit speeds in 4.8 seconds while the GT 53 does the same in 4.4 seconds. Now if you thing these figures are impressive enough, let's wait for Mercedes to share the performance data for the mighty V8 motor which will happen at a later date.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door V8 will get a reworked adaptive suspension along with an updated AMG Ride Control Plus which now gets two pressure limiting valves to control the multi-chamber air suspension setup.

Having said that, there is some information already available for the V8 powertrain. For instance, it will get a reworked adaptive suspension along with an updated AMG Ride Control Plus which now gets two pressure limiting valves to control the multi-chamber air suspension setup. One valve manages rebound damping, while the other controls compression damping. Mercedes says that the new suspension will make the GT 4-Door even more relaxed in Comfort mode and more agile and planted in Sport and Sport Plus modes. Now India gets only the range-topping Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door V8 and we hope the updated model to come to our market later this year, given that Mercedes-Benz India is keeping up with its plan to launch 15 new models in India this year.
