New Honda CB300F India Launch Highlights: Price, Features, Rivals
Highlights
Honda Motorcycles India has launched the new Honda CB300F naked motorcycle in India under its BigWing line-up. HMSI will offer the CB300F in two variants- DLX and DLX Pro, priced at Rs. 2.26 lakh, and Rs. 2.29 lakh respectively. The new Honda CB300F sits in the 300-500cc segment and is styled along the lines of the Honda CB500F sold overseas. At present, the company has crossed the 60,000 unit mark for cumulative sales in the middleweight segment. Honda also aims to double the current size of its Honda Bigwing network by 2025 to 100 touchpoints.

The new model from BigWing is expected to be an all-new motorcycle and is likely to sit in the midsize segment. Honda is tight-lipped about the new product, but it is likely that it will not be a motorcycle based on the existing Honda H’Ness CB 350 platform. According to sources, the new Honda two-wheeler will be a premium product within the 350-500 cc segment, and it could well be the Honda Forza 350 maxi scooter. However, recently we spotted a test mule of the Honda CRF300L as well at a Honda dealership, sparking rumours that it could be this model which is likely to be launched. Honda also registered a trademark for its dual-sport CRF300L in India towards the end of last year.

Honda’s BigWing Chain typically caters to the company’s more upmarket models with the Big Wing line-up starting from the roadster-styled H’Ness CB 350 and CB 300X and going up to the company’s GoldWing cruiser, the CRF1000L Africa Twin, and the Fireblade sportbike. A 300 cc adventure bike certainly does make a solid business case, going by the popularity of this segment in India, with the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan, Scram, as well as the Yezdi Adventure and Scrambler models offered on sale right now.
