Highlights
- The 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will get a new BS6 diesel engine
- The 2021 D-Max V-Cross in the photos remains identical to the BS4 model
- The BS6 D-Max V-Cross is likely to get a new 1.9-litre diesel engine
The BS6 compliant 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has yet again been spotted testing in India, and this time around we get to see the automatic version of the SUV. While globally Isuzu has already launched the third-gen D-Max V-Cross, recent spy photos have suggested that India will continue to get the existing second-gen model with a new BS6 engine for the time being. The latest spy photos give us a glimpse of the cabin as well, which too remains largely similar to the BS4 model that was on sale until a year ago.
As the photos indicate, the 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will come with an all-black cabin, which is identical to the BS4 model. You still get the three-spoke steering wheel with some mounted controls, a touchscreen infotainment system, large analogue dials for the instrument cluster, and large vertical air-con vents. The centre console and gear lever also remain unchanged, however, we do set to see new fabric upholstery.

As for the exterior, it is partially camouflaged here, but we do get to see familiar elements like - the beefy chrome grille with the Isuzu branding, a large air dam, chrome inserts around the round foglamps. Features like the multi-spoke alloy wheels, chrome ORVMs, and silver roof rails have also been retained. The SUV also continues to come with large sweptback headlamps with projector lights and LED daytime running lamps up front and vertically stacked taillamps at the rear.

As for the engine option, the upcoming 2021 D-Max V-Cross is expected to come with a BS6-compliant 1.9-litre diesel engine, replacing the older 2.5-litre oil burner. Transmission choices will also include a new 6-speed manual along with an optional 6-speed automatic torque converter that we see in these photos. The V-Cross is also likely to get all-wheel drive and a low-range gearbox option.
