    The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift has been launched in India and prices start at Rs. 8.19 lakh going all the way up to Rs. 10.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was introduced in 2014 and this is the model's first comprehensive upgrade since the launch. The updated version gets a plethora of changes over the predecessor including a revised and more competitive pricing. Upgrades on the 2018 Ciaz include revised styling, updated interiors, more features and most importantly, the new 1.5-litre petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology.

    Changes on the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift include the new grille with the gloss black finished mesh that makes for an sporty and upmarket appearance. The headlamp clusters now incorporate LED daytime running lights, while the bumper has been redesigned and gets new LED fog lamps and chrome garnish. The silhouette remains the same, while the model also comes with new alloy wheels and LED combination taillights. The rear bumper has been tweaked as well and includes chrome bezels around the reflectors.

    Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift retains the same beige and black theme, but you do get wood inserts, new leather upholstered seats, and an updated instrument cluster with a larger Multi-information display (MID) unit. The car also comes with additional safety features on the automatic version including the Hill Hold function and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) on the auto variants. The car also gets passenger seatbelt reminder, speed alert system and reverse parking sensors as standard across the range.

    The biggest update is the new 1.5-litre petrol engine on the Ciaz that replaces the previous 1.4-litre K-Series motor. The engine is tuned for 103 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 89 bhp 1.3-litre diesel with a 5-speed manual continues to be on offer. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift retains its aggressive pricing, much like the older version, as it takes on the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid and the likes.
