2018 Hyundai i20 Facelift Interior Uncovered In Latest Spy Images
Highlights
- Hyundai i20 facelift's cabin is largely similar to the current version
- The Hyundai i20 facelift will come with considerable cosmetic changes
- The engine options on the Hyundai i20 facelift will remain unchanged
A test mule of the upcoming 2018 Hyundai i20 facelift has been spotted in India again and this time around we have a clear image of the updated cabin as well. While the exterior of this i20 facelift prototype is still heavily camouflaged, the cabin is completely clean and the only disguise we see is some masking tape on the steering wheel logo. Visually, the cabin of the updated Hyundai i20 looks very much identical to the outgoing model with hardly any mentionable update, apart from some minor tweaks for the dashboard.

All that said this particular Hyundai i20 appears to be still not production-ready, based on the steel wheels instead of alloys and halogen headlamps instead of projector units. This could mean that while visually the cabin remains unchanged, Hyundai might still offer a bunch of additional features like - 3 zone climate control, an updated infotainment system and improved safety features.

The exterior of the car, on the other hand, comes with more updates than the cabin. For instance, the car gets a new cascading grille up front in a honeycomb pattern. The headlamp is the same for the cluster design has been updated and the top-end trim will come with projector lamps with LED daytime running lights. The front bumper is well hidden, but we can still see that the car gets new set of foglamps with integrated LED DRLs. The car also gets the same ORVMs that are electrically operable and come with integrated LED turn signal lights.
Under the hood, the Hyundai i20 facelift will continue with the same 82 bhp 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual unit, and an 89 bhp 1.4-litre U2 CRDI diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car also gets a more powerful 99 bhp 1.4-litre dual VTVT petrol engine that comes mated to a 4-speed automatic torque converter.
