2014 Nissan Sunny to come with updated design and more features
Highlights
Nissan India that unveiled the updated Sunny at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, might launch the vehicle sometime in the second half of this year. Though the car is now about 3 years old and comes at an aggressive price, it has never been able to outsell cars like Hyundai Verna and Honda City. So, in an other attempt to escalate its sales, the company has given a mid-life facelift to the car, which is still due for its launch.
With a new grille that has three horizontal slats and chrome inserts, new fog lamps, front bumper, redesigned headlights and chrome accent, the 2014 Sunny facelift looks bolder than before. The side profile too looks much better with new 15-inch alloy wheels, ORVMs with turn indicators and chrome surrounds. The rear bumper of the updated Sunny is in boomerang shape and has dual colour tone effect.
Inside the cabin, the refreshed Sunny gets an updated central console with 'piano black' finish, better audio system, leather wrapped steering wheel with new audio controls and few more cosmetic changes.
Mechanically, the 2014 Sunny facelift will remain unchanged. It will continue to come with the same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre K9K diesel units.
