2014 Nissan Evalia Facelift Launched
Highlights
While everybody was only guessing the launch date of the Evalia facelift, Nissan India has silently launched the vehicle in the country. Since the changes are minimal and are mainly cosmetics, price of the MPV remained unchanged. It continues to come in the price range of Rs 8.5 lakh and Rs 10.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Except for the new V-shaped chrome grille with Nissan logo affixed on it, there are no changes on the outside. In fact, it looks largely similar to the old model. Changes are more inside the cabin; it now gets fax-wood panels, captain seats in the middle row, new floor mats, revised glove-box compartment and tilt adjustable steering wheel. The AC unit too has been incorporated on the roof.
All variants, except for the base XE, get safety features such as dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist as standard.
Since it's just a mid-life facelift, there are no mechanical changes made to the car. It continues to feature the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, capable of churning out a maximum power output of 85bhp and 200Nm. The vehicle is claimed to return an impressive 19.3kmpl.
