Highlights

Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest time of a wet final practice session for the Chinese Grand Prix, while FP2 leader Lewis Hamilton and FP1 leader Fernando Alonso failed to set a time.

The rain left the track wet and the hour-long FP3 session was all about trying to find grip on a track which had cooled down considerably. Ricciardo set the pace with a best time of 1:53.958, leaving him half a second of Felipe Massa and Romain Grosjean.

The tricky conditions are expected to be seen during the qualifying, only four drivers reached double figures in the session as the majority of drivers opted to do little running. The top three were the ones to complete 14 laps between them, while Alonso and Hamilton were at the bottom of the timesheets.

Nico Rosberg too did not set a time during his four laps in the session, while Kevin Magnussen was the other driver not to complete a timed lap.

A number of other drivers ran off track as they struggled for grip in the cool and wet conditions. Drivers like Pastor Maldonaldo, Valtteri Bottas and many others found it difficult to make their cars stick especially going into Turn 10 and 14.

Qualifying starts soon and we will have all the updates for you right here.
