Limited Edition Royal Enfield Classic 500 Bikes Sold Out In 15 Seconds

Royal Enfield recently announced the sale of 15 limited edition Stealth Black Classic 500 motorcycles that were ridden by the NSG Black Cat Commandos. The bikes, which were exclusively available online were sold out in less than 15 seconds after sales commenced on December 13, 2017. The bike maker had announced the sale of these special motorcycles on December 8 and over 2000 buyers registered for its purchase. The 15 limited edition Royal Enfield Classic 500 motorcycles were ridden by the commandos for 8000 km across the country over 40 days, to spread awareness about fighting terrorism and serving the nation. The bikes were available for a special price of Rs. 1.90 lakh.
Speaking on the sale of these special bikes, Royal Enfield - President, Rudratej Singh said, "Our long-standing partnership with the armed forces and the support extended to this expedition is to stand by the men who protect and defend us. The journey of these 15 bravehearts is an authentic story of resilience and we are honoured to have helped them on this journey, and further by sharing the sale proceeds with Prerna School. This reiterates that the power of purpose is sometimes bigger than the purpose of commerce."
The 15 Royal Enfield Stealth Black Classic 500 motorcycles were available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The sale opened at 12.00 noon on December 13, and all the bikes were booked and sold within the record time. Buyers have currently paid a booking amount of Rs. 15,000 online, while the bike will be handed over to the owners at their local dealership after paying the full amount.
Royal Enfield motorcycles have been an integral part of the Indan armed forces since 1955. The bikes continue to be in service and the nationwide NSG motorcycle expedition was an extension of the same. The expedition also commemorated NSG's 33 years of service to the nation.
