Highlights

There's nothing more relaxing and rejuvenating than taking a road trip through nature's wonders. Sometimes, a weekend trip to the hills or the beachfront can be life-changing and inspiring. So, if you have the upcoming weekend free and own a two-wheeler, here are some options for a perfect getaway!

    Coorg to Munnar

Holiday in Coorg or holiday in Munnar? This is a question that comes up often. We suggest that you do both instead. Visit Coorg for its coffee plantations, Kodagu cuisine, undulating hills and Madikeri fort. Visit Munnar for its tea estates, incredible vistas and wildlife. The distance between the two places is around 11 hours by road. There are two route options, both scenic in their own ways. The slightly shorter route goes via Mysore and the dense forests of Bandipur and Mudumalai. This route goes near Ooty in Tamil Nadu, via Tiruppur and past Anamalai Tiger Reserve to Munnar. The longer route goes via Brahmagiri sanctuary and takes the coast road at Kozhikode and goes via Thrissur to Munnar. Both are scenic routes, although the types of scenery vary.

    Chennai to Pondicherry

The best part of this fairly short road trip on a bike from Chennai to Pondicherry is the panoramic views of the beaches along the East Coast Road. Its only a short 2.5 hours commute from Chennai to Pondicherry and the best time to set out would be just before dawn so you can catch the sunrise from the sea during your ride.
